Iowa House debates bill limiting public union bargaining
(Reuters) – The Iowa House began debate of a controversial labor bill on Wednesday that Republicans say makes common sense changes to Iowa’s labor rules, while Democrats say it will “gut” the state’s collective bargaining law.
Democrats offered more than 100 different amendments to make changes in the bill — all of which were being rejected by Republicans who hold the majority of seats in the Iowa House.
I’m glad to see this catching on, I’ve been watching all my adult life unions making big bucks off the backs of the working tax payers of this country. It is about time these over payed and under worked union thugs started paying their fair share.
Unfortunately for Iowa the senate is controlled by leftist who will keep giving big payouts to their union friends while the good, honest and hard working tax payers of Iowa foot the bill.
